About Me

Ruth Odunuga

I got married in 2008 and it was the best day of my life, then! Now I have had two children, so giving birth to them became the best days of my life, after marriage! I was so lucky to meet a man that was equally as organised and detailed as me, so planning our wedding was easy.

As a normal ‘Brides to Be’ do, as soon as I got engaged, once I got home (because it happened on the plane to Dubai!) I went straight online and Google searched for ‘Wedding Fairs’, so many came up in and around London, I was spoilt for choice. Myself and my girls we did the rounds, went to lots of different fairs, picked up styles and ideas but I always walked away from them feeling like something was missing.

Being of Nigerian descendant I knew that I would be having a Traditional Nigerian Wedding and a Traditional White Wedding, the fairs gave me lots of ideas for the White Wedding but no ideas for the Traditional Nigerian Wedding, so I just carried on planning with knowledge and help from family and friends, but in the back of my mind I was thinking ‘one day, one day’ I’d like to create a Fayre that does do exactly what I was looking for in 2007/2008.

Now six or so years on, I have decided to give birth to The Cultured Bride and bring a Wedding Fayre of Culture to the Herts, Beds & Bucks area to allow Brides & Grooms in those areas to enjoy the comfort of being under one roof with so much choice and help towards one of the best days of their lives.
